OneMoreTune meets Uzi & Ari
May 1, 2009
Peculiar interpretations of the band’s name, who’s the hot one in the new line-up, the spirituality and the disillution behind their last album “Headworms”, the band’s connection with Japan, the consistent comparison with Thom Yorke.
It’s streching and challenging but also really rewarding
Who: Uzi & Ari (Utah, USA)
Latest record: Headworms (Own Records, 2008).
Online: myspace.com/benshepard and clumsycongregation.com
Our favourite video: moutain/molehill
Where we met: lower deck (before their appearance at the ballroom of romance)
Why we like them: we have an obsessive love for “mountain/molehill”. and “ghosts on the windowsill” it’s on its way to become as much obsessive in a few weeks. oh yeah.
Behind the scenes: after the interview the band invited us to have dinner with them, so we spent some more time together. while chatting they told us a lot of funny and/or interesting stories, and every time we would go like “ahhh guys, you should have told us that in the interview!!” :)
