OneMoreTune meets Angela Dorgan (Hard Working Class Heroes)
August 23, 2009
HWCH music festival and its hidden sides, bands that make you proud of them, the state of the Irish music scene and how it’s perceived abroad, First Music Contact and promoting music in a recession.
What HWCH has done, and something I’m most proud of, is creating a really vibrant Irish scene.
Who: Angela Dorgan (Cork/Dublin)
Company: First Music Contact
Online: firstmusiccontact.com, myspace.com/firstmusiccontact, hwch.net, myspace.com/hwch, musicfromireland.org
Where we met: at the HWCH 09 launch
Why we like her: the most easy going, down-to-earth lady of the music scene, and her enthusiasm is contagious!
Behind the scenes: there’s no behind the scene for this specific interview, but we can tell you a nice story about how we got in contact with Angela. it was throught a friend of hers (thanks, GearĂ²id!) that we met months ago at a party. he heard about onemoretune.ie and said that we definitely had to meet his friend Angela. So we sent her an email and she invited us over to the her cool office. She was super friendly and enthusiast about our website: that’s how our collaboration started. next step will be doing interviews with artists supported by First Music Contact, in their office. isn’t that cool? :)
