One More What..!?
OneMoreTune was born as an attempt to describe the amazing music scene of Dublin. This means that every night - seriously - you might go to a different concert, or more than one.
The people behind OneMoreTune did it for a while - and fell in love with more then one singer/songwriter - so they could not resist asking them a few questions. This means in most cases grabbing artists in the backstage after or before the concert, with little light and little time. But where there is will..:) and we’ve been very lucky so far, all the artists we met were really easy going and ready to be asked a few questions.
We hope you will enjoy our interviews, and that you’ll send us all of your enthusiasm/joy/rage/shouts in the comments. We’ll read and try hard to do better, promise.
Rock and roll,
The OneMoreTune staff (which sounds like a crowd, but it’s 2 girls only. Seriously)

F.A.Q: what people asked us most frequently.
1. Is this your full time job?
Not yet :). To be honest, one of the two members of OneMoreTune used to work as a music journalist and a radio speaker. Now we work in IT, and the job is not music related at all. Maybe someday.
2. How do you manage to do that? I mean, get the interview, meet the artists…
We started by carrying a video camera to concerts and approaching the artists after the show, to ask if they wanted to do a short interview. It worked well but in general with no previous agreement you hardly get the right place to record and in fact the first interviews are a bit rough, quality wise. Lately with some preparation and a few great people to help us (thanks Michael, thanks Cillian!) we manage to get in touch with the artists/managers a little bit in advance to agree on having an interview. But we still carry the handycam everywhere, because sometimes we are not that lucky. This does not prevent us from bugging people until they talk to us :). As a friend once told me, “You do not know the meaning of the word “shame”".
3. What kind of artists do you interview?
We (try to) interview whoever we like in the Dublin music scene.
Since our aim is to document this city scene, we go for Irish artists and International artists who are in Dublin for a concert, plus interesting people who work in the local music business and make all this happen.
4. What do you use to make the interviews?
The video camera used for our interviews is a Sony Handycam DCR-HC37, 40xzoom, Carl Zeiss objective. The video editing software is Pinnacle. Because most flash platform like Youtube or Viddler convert your file into Flash (server side compression), the final result is usually horrible. I am using client-side conversion instead, basically it means I convert on my computer the file from .AVI to .FLV using Riva Encoder and then upload them to blip.tv, at the moment it is the only platform I know that does not convert your file if it is already .FLV. I found this nice tutorial on how to convert AVI to FLV files and I think it is useful to start off. Also here is another one on the same topic (convert AVI to FLV). Enjoy!
5. Are you Spanish?
No, we are Italian.
